Tulip Tech extends flight time of DeltaQuad Evo drone up to 8 hours

DeltaQuad drone flying

At Tulip Tech, we are making great strides in battery technology. Thanks to our innovative high-energy silicon-anode batteries, with an impressive energy density of 450 Wh/kg, we have drastically extended the flight time of the tactical drone DeltaQuad Evo. This results in longer flight times, better performance, and more operational possibilities.

Test results: nearly 7 hours of continuous flight

In a recent long-distance test, the DeltaQuad Evo flew for 6 hours and 46 minutes, covering a distance of 430 kilometers while using only 80% of the battery capacity. Based on this, we expect a maximum flight time of approximately 8 hours and a range of over 500 kilometers. Of course, these figures depend on factors such as weather, payload, and flight profile. This test confirms that our battery technology performs excellently outside of the laboratory as well.

What does this mean for drone operations?

A longer flight time opens the door to new possibilities, especially for missions where range, endurance, and continuity are crucial:

  • Long-distance missions without intermediate interruptions
  • Observation and reconnaissance, for example in agriculture, infrastructure inspections, and defense
  • Situations where battery swaps are difficult, time-consuming, or impractical

By using the battery more efficiently, drone operators can better plan their missions, minimize breaks, and cover larger areas.
