Before You Hit “Apply”
This isn’t a clean lab. It’s a workshop where ideas get tested and hardware gets built — fast. We’re looking for someone who’s hands-on, creative, and not afraid to try, break, and rebuild. If you love working at the bench, turning sketches into real components, and learning by doing — keep reading.
Your Mission
As our Prototyping Engineer, you’ll build the first versions of new hardware — from battery modules to fixtures, jigs, enclosures, and test assemblies.
What You’ll Do
- Translate ideas and sketches into physical prototypes
- Build and test assemblies using a mix of hand tools, 3D printers, and basic machining tools
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on design-for-prototype
- Maintain and improve our workshop and prototyping space
- Help test mechanical and thermal performance of early-stage concepts
- Keep documentation up to date as designs evolve
What You Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on prototyping or mechanical assembly experience
- MBO4 or HBO in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or product development
- Skilled with hand tools, 3D printers, and workshop equipment
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Problem-solving mindset — you love finding ways to make things work with what’s available
- Bonus: experience with soldering, electronics, or rapid CAD edits
What We Offer
- Competitive salary between €3.500 – €4.000 gross/month
- 38 days off per year (25 vacation + 13 ADV via CAO Metaal & Techniek)
- 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, pension via PMT
- A chance to shape hardware development and prototyping in a fast-growing tech startup.
- A tight-knit team that values initiative, trust, and getting things done
- Coffee, smart people, and a high-tech product to be proud of
