Build the foundation. Shape the future.

An inspiring team

We’re a fast-moving startup building next-generation battery systems for drones and electric aircraft. At Tulip Tech, you won’t just follow a test plan — you’ll write the playbook. We’re a small, hands-on team that values smart thinking, building fast, and doing things right.

Help us power the future of transportation with batteries that fly.

Be the wizard behind the screen — without the corporate cloak.

Before You Hit “Apply”

At Tulip Tech, we’re building next-generation batteries for drones and electric aircraft. To do that, our engineers need tools, systems, and networks that just work. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to keep our team running smoothly — from hardware and software to networking and accounts. You’ll be our first IT hire, which means you’ll not only fix today’s issues but also help shape how we run IT tomorrow.

This isn’t a ticket-based IT helpdesk role. We don’t have a service desk, VPN setup, or formal processes yet. You’ll handle everything from onboarding new colleagues to troubleshooting network hiccups to setting up security policies.

If you like variety, enjoy solving problems directly, and want the freedom to improve how things are done, you’ll fit right in.

Your Mission

As our first IT hire, you’ll own everything IT at Tulip Tech — from day-to-day support to long-term improvements.

On one hand, you’ll keep us running: solving hardware and software issues, managing Active Directory, and onboarding new hires. On the other hand, you’ll help lay the foundations of our IT: documenting processes, tightening security, and shaping how Tulip Tech manages its systems as we grow.

This is a role where you’ll see the impact of your work immediately. One moment you’re helping an engineer get their CAD workstation back online, the next you’re improving our network setup or planning how to scale account management for a team that’s doubling in size.

What You Will Do

  • Support colleagues with hardware and software issues (Windows 10/11, laptops, peripherals)
  • Manage Active Directory (on-prem) and Microsoft 365 accounts
  • Handle system administration and access rights
  • Set up and improve IT security (backups, MFA, permissions)
  • Take ownership of network basics (switches, routers, Wi-Fi)
  • Onboard and offboard employees (accounts, laptops, setup)
  • Document IT processes and suggest improvements
  • Work on-site in Den Bosch, 3 days per week

What You Bring

  • MBO4 or HBO degree in ICT or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Comfortable troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks
  • Proactive and curious: you don’t just fix problems, you improve processes
  • Bonus: knowledge of IT security practices or ITIL principles

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary between €2.800 – €3.500 gross/month (pro-rata, based on 40h/week)
  • 38 paid days off per year (25 vacation + 13 ADV via CAO Metaal & Techniek, part-time calculated accordingly)
  • 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, and pension via PMT
  • Daily lunch provided by the company
  • A startup culture with team outings and events
  • Freedom to shape your role and take real ownership

Den Bosch area

In 2020, Tulip Tech was founded by Bernd Rietberg and Olivier Witteman. Their goal? To make high quality battery systems to enable the drone revolution and sustainable passenger e-flight revolution.

Following up from their project of building a passenger drone, they concluded that safe and high energy density battery systems are essential in aviation and robotics. Simultaneously, their partner network grew and this enabled them to leap further than before.

Over the years, the team has grown and gained valuable experience in R&D and production.
