Build the foundation. Shape the future.

An inspiring team

We’re a fast-moving startup building next-generation battery systems for drones and electric aircraft. At Tulip Tech, you won’t just follow a test plan — you’ll write the playbook. We’re a small, hands-on team that values smart thinking, building fast, and doing things right.

Help us power the future of transportation with batteries that fly.

You don’t just “follow instructions.” You build the technology that powers the future.

Before You Hit “Apply”

This isn’t about standing on a line and repeating the same step a thousand times. You’ll be working on advanced battery systems for drones and electric aircraft — assembling mechanical and electronic components into real products that go out into the world.

You’ll need precision, patience, and pride in your work. If you like solving small problems before they become big ones, improving how things get built, and seeing your effort take flight (literally), this role is for you.

We move fast, work closely together, and give people room to take initiative. If that excites you more than it scares you, keep reading.

Your Mission

At Tulip Tech, our production team is where design turns into reality. Every battery pack, module, and system that leaves our workshop has your fingerprint on it.

Your goal: make sure every product we assemble is safe, reliable, and built to spec — so our customers can trust their drones and aircraft in the sky.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components into final products
  • Operate tools and machinery with skill and safety
  • Perform quality checks and flag issues before they leave the bench
  • Keep the workspace clean, safe, and organized
  • Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing staff to improve how we build
  • Record what you’ve done, what you’ve used, and what needs fixing
  • Take part in continuous training and improvement programs

What We Offer

  • Salary between €2.400 – €3.200 gross/month (depending on experience)
  • 38 days off per year (25 vacation + 13 ADV via CAO Metaal & Techniek)
  • 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, pension via PMT
  • A chance to grow: Senior Assembly Technician, Quality Control Specialist, Team Lead — your path is open
  • A young, ambitious team that values trust, initiative, and hands-on results
  • Coffee, smart colleagues, and the satisfaction of building something that flies

In 2020, Tulip Tech was founded by Bernd Rietberg and Olivier Witteman. Their goal? To make high quality battery systems to enable the drone revolution and sustainable passenger e-flight revolution.

Following up from their project of building a passenger drone, they concluded that safe and high energy density battery systems are essential in aviation and robotics. Simultaneously, their partner network grew and this enabled them to leap further than before.

Over the years, the team has grown and gained valuable experience in R&D and production.
