Build the foundation. Shape the future.

An inspiring team

We’re a fast-moving startup building next-generation battery systems for drones and electric aircraft. At Tulip Tech, you won’t just follow a test plan — you’ll write the playbook. We’re a small, hands-on team that values smart thinking, building fast, and doing things right.

Help us power the future of transportation with batteries that fly.

You don’t “just manage a team.” You make technology that flies a reality.

At Tulip Tech, we develop next-generation battery systems for drones and electric aircraft. From design to final assembly: our products make electric flying possible.

As an Assembly Foreman, you lead the assembly team that turns our ideas into tangible technology. You make sure that work is done efficiently, safely and according to specifications — and that everyone knows what needs to be done to keep production running smoothly.

Before You Hit “Apply”

This is not a job where you only follow the schedule. You are the link between engineering and production, you work on the floor and at the same time monitor the overview.

You like technology, cooperation and achieving results. If you get energy from a dynamic environment in which you make decisions, manage people and help build high-tech products yourself, then this is your place. We move quickly, work closely together and give people the space to take initiative. Does that sound like a challenge you’re looking for? Then read on.

Your Mission

We’re looking for an Assembly Foreman who ensures that every battery module and system that leaves our workshop meets our high quality standards.

You divide tasks, supervise colleagues in the workplace and keep a close eye on progress, quality and safety. You are the connecting factor between operators, engineers and production planning.

What You’ll Do

· Managing, coaching and motivating the assembly team (4–8 employees)
· Participate in the assembly of mechanical and electronic components
· Checking the quality and compliance with work and safety procedures
· Identifying and solving problems in the production process
· Coordinating material requirements in consultation with logistics and engineering
· Reporting progress, bottlenecks and improvements to the Production Lead
· Participate in continuous improvement projects within production

What You Bring

· MBO level 4 or higher, preferably in the field of technology or mechatronics
· At least 3–5 years of experience in assembly or production, of which 1 year in a coordinating role
· Technical insight and experience with mechanical/electronic systems
· Strong sense of quality, safety and efficiency
· Good communication skills and natural leadership
· Proactive attitude: you see what can be improved and tackle it
· Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus

What We Offer

· Competitive salary between €3,500 – €3,900 gross/month (based on experience)
· 38 paid days off per year based on full-time (25 vacation + 13 ADV via CAO Metaal & Techniek)
· 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, and pension via PMT
· Daily lunch provided by the company
· A startup culture with team outings and events
· Freedom to shape your role and take real ownership

In 2020, Tulip Tech was founded by Bernd Rietberg and Olivier Witteman. Their goal? To make high quality battery systems to enable the drone revolution and sustainable passenger e-flight revolution.

Following up from their project of building a passenger drone, they concluded that safe and high energy density battery systems are essential in aviation and robotics. Simultaneously, their partner network grew and this enabled them to leap further than before.

Over the years, the team has grown and gained valuable experience in R&D and production.
